G'day all, First up, just wanted to gush a bit over my Squeezebox Boom. Very, very much impressed. I'd been using SqueezeCenter for a while now, but not with a boom... was using a PDA to stream over wifi.. was kludgy, but it worked. What I wasn't prepared for was the responsiveness of the Boom - just amazing.
OK, my first of no-doubt many questions about all things Squeeze.. Q) My ISP hosts (or caches) a bunch of internet radio streams, which appear to be accessible from inside their network. Good thing about them is if we listen to their cache, the traffic is unmetered. If I play these streams via .m3u or .pls file via SqueezeCenter, they play fine - but if I play them via SqueezeNetwork, I get a "timed out" message. I saw mention of a couple of other threads about adding shoutcast streams to Favourites, where omitting the "/" at the end of the URL has fixed it, but in my case, it didn't...! example stream is http radio.internode.on.net (port) 8172 (i've had to mangle the URL as its my first post, forum must have an antispam rule saying new users can't post links) Any advice is appreciated! Not a big problem by any means, but I'd like to be able to listen to those streams if my PC w/squeezeCenter isn't on.. cheers, Brett -- mightypeniz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mightypeniz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=32889 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=68066 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
