24 bit 48kHz would run under all circumstances . 24bit 88.2 or 96 or more would run ok if the server can transcode .
Wjat happens ? really is flac installed in squeezecenter ? Winch version of squeezecenter . SC uses flac ans SOX to transcode . You are not running them on a NAS ? In general some more info about your system and whats really happening, can you se anything in the server.log ?
