He may not. But then he shouldn't be so certain to be flippant either.
:) I tried to explain that the sync settings he was referring to are
Player sync and not Favorites sync. I tried explaining that Logitech
saying he will have "management" of his Favorites does not mean "sync"
of Favorites. But he didn't like my answers.

To answer your question about Apps, Apps are "applications" not player
settings. The Apps reside on MySB and MySB is "sharing" them and
allowing SBS to connect to them. Try running the Apps on SBS without a
MySB account and you'll see what I mean. But each App can be assigned
to each player, this just tells SBS or MySB which player to make the App
available too.

Same is true with your 0-9 (ten) Presets which are now unique to each
player (whether we like it or not, but that's another story :)).

My guess is that syncing/sharing of Favorites will function much the
same when it is implemented. I'd guess it's a bit more complicated
though because each server (SBS and MySB) can each contain separate and
unique Favorites that reside on each server and now must be properly
synced/shared. Whereas the Apps and MySB usage is more of a one way
share as the Apps reside solely on MySB. This is assuming I understand
all of this. :)

Have you read all online manuals and wiki's for your player(s)? I'm
sincerely asking, not challenging you. I'd guess most of the basic
questions are answered accordingly. Although I'll be the first to admit
documentation for the server software, MySB and the players are lacking.
But many of the basic functions and features are available within this
site and it's wiki. :)
