If you call Logitech Support today, you will get the usual story about
it being your router/network. They said their servers are working fine
and they would be “flooded” with calls if there were some problem.
There’s obviously something wrong

Here’s my scenario today –

 Brought Player 2 downstairs to living room (upstairs from
where it had been working properly via wi-fi on Network B last week).
Of course it wouldn’t connect.
 Put Player 2 in my office where Player 1 has been working
properly on Network A via wi-fi. Of course it wouldn’t connect. Shows
on LAN device list and allowed on Mac authentication. I deleted the
device from all LAN, MAC and MSB lists and tried again. On the 2nd try
via Ethernet mysqueezebox.com could see it (Mac address shows) but it
didn’t connect for a long time. Controller shows some message about
Squeezebox server which I’ve never used and then while I was on hold w/
Support, suddenly I had a full menu of choices.
 Re-tried to reconnect Player 2 via wi-fi in the office. Nope.
Nada. Tried the Ethernet and nothing AGAIN.
 So I tried connecting Player 1 out in the living room where
player 2 was intended to go. It works perfectly via wi-fi out there.
 Player 3 in the bedroom still works perfectly via wi-fi.
 I just took problem Player 2 back upstairs (after deleting the
player from MSB.com) and tried to reconnect to Network B where it worked
perfectly before. No solid blue light on the player any longer. Same
message: “Can’t connect to Library. We couldn’t connect to MSB.com.
If this problem persists please check Squeezebox server to make sure it
is running properly, and that you have a reliable network connection.”
Meanwhile, MSB.com again shows the player and its Mac address but that
it isn’t connected.
 Brought it downstairs just now. Controller allowed me to
choose to connect on Ethernet (vs wireless), I get a solid blue light,
and the player shows on the LAN device list. MSB.com shows the MAC
address with no connection, but the controller sort of acts like it is.
It provides menus like the device is connection but keeps trying to
connect to non-existent libraries even from internet radio/staff picks.
 Given that two players work perfectly, that Player 2 worked
fine in its new location for a bit, the fact that MSB.com can see the
Mac address of Player 2, and the very similar issues reported in this
thread, I have a very difficult time believing that it isn’t a problem
with their software.
