You probably have the Repeat function set to "Repeat current song". Not sure how your Squeezebox got that way. When you choose to play an album, the album becomes the entire playlist. You therefore want to play the entire playlist, not just the first track of the album.
To change your Squeezebox, go to Settings->Repeat from the main menu. Choose "Repeat playlist".
