I'm not sure if this will work any more, but when it tries to connect to the internet try pressing and holding the back button. That may allow you to back out of the menu. Fyi, the reason (well, at least one reason) why it wants to connect to the internet is to download new firmware. Have you already downloaded the Squeezebox Server software to your computer? If not then the best you'll be able to do until you get an internet connection is to use the SB Radio as an external speaker for your computer, using a cable from the computer's speaker port to the Radio's line-in jack.
