This is often a DNS problem of some sort , hence why I asked nonreality check in the controller if it find it's DNS .
Try restart the router wait untill fully functional then restart the reciever. If you have to do this often, well I don't really know ? Is your router fully functional get the latest firmware for it ? restart it (it's often needed they have been running for years sometimes ,how would you PC behave by now if it ran for years ? ). Are your settings ok DNS problems with the local router can be bypassed by setting up the reciever and controller with static.ip (not fixed DCHP reservation in the router) and in this kind of setup code in the DNS you get from your ISP. In this cases flaws in DHCP and/or DNS resolving won't matter that much. You can use your router as DNS too sometimes it is "only" the DHCP implementation that is flaky, either in the router or sbc/sbr or in an unlucky combination of some kind. My personal suspicion is that A consumer router are crap at this. B slim/logitech has a fragile or buggy DHCP implementation, maybe because there is limited space in the sbr , wonder how much of the network drivers in my PC is really workaround for issues with routers AP's and stuff ? But first check in the controllers diagnostic view if it can find a DNS and ping mysqueezebox.com -- Mnyb -------------------------------------------------------------------- Main hifi: SB3 (soon to replaced by a Touch :) It is on preorder) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: Receiver (soon to be replaced by my SB3 and the SBR to be stuffed in a box in the attic ) Miscellaneous use: Radio (battery pack to be ordered) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75707 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
