I have a similar setup (kids with their own Booms and Last.FM accounts) and noticed this problem with the web interface too.
However, if you go to the Booms themselves, and the "Settings>Last.FM Audioscrobbler" tree on the player's Menu, you should find you can enable the player to scrobble to any of the Last.FM accounts you've registered (or not scrobble at all of course).
