I have a relatively slow ADSL connection at around 1.5 mbs.
Occasionally, but often enough, I'll interrupt other family members
listening to internet radio downstairs. This happens when I run the
Ubuntu update application or hog the internet connection in some way.

The problem does not happen with normal web usage and I don't utilize
bit-torrents, so it's manageable. However, if possible, I'd like to
ensure it doesn't happen at all.

I'm experimenting by using a replacement router (Asus WL520GU) running
Tomato firmware. The firmware has the ability to manage QoS.

Does anyone know of a user guide for setting up QoS to priorize
Squeezebox? Or otherwise care to share their experiences or tips for
setting up QoS?

My first attempts were not very fruitful at eliminating radio cut-outs
or lock-ups (with Pandora). My efforts weren't very focused -- I
haven't spent much time researching this. I also need to come up with a
testing methodology that is repeatable (and thus shows or proves that
QoS does in fact help).

I'll post my experiences here (and maybe create a wiki page) whether or
not I hear anything back.
