Most of the squeezebox thins are geared to listen on the actual devices. I'd suggest that you get comfortable with this first.
Connect boom to mysqueezebox dot com. Then go to remote on the website on your pc and you should be able to control what the boom plays, or more conveniently, you could just do this using the boom's physical remote. There are ways to play the same music on your pc, which is not the main intention of the product and is a bit more technical, but can be done.
