I too understand the technical limitations for the CURRENT set-up, nothing strange with that really. However...what bothers me a bit as a Logitech customer in general, and specifically in this case a duet owner, is the lack of interest and motivation for a solution for anything but the Radio and Touch I can sense between the lines from Logitechs side. I find the attitude being kinda "*yawn*-nothing-we-can(i.e. want to)-do-about-it,-you-must-talk-to-spotify-*yawn"-ish. Maybe this is just because I honestly feel a bit ripped off (and if someone here felt as a 2nd class citizen compared to Sonos owners, I now feel like a 3rd class citizen compared to Radio and Touch owners). So if this is not the case at all I applogize for maybe being a bit harsh (e.g. I know MickeyG wrote that Logitech WILL continue to discuss alternative methods to protect the content (to be able to do the transcoding at MySquuezebox.com-level I assume?) and, as I understand it, the only thing really preventing an alterative solution is how the contract/agreement/license with Spotify is written.) I would really like to see Logitech being open towards their customers about the progress of this discussion, the plans, vision, ambitions, ideas etc. Maybe you could post the status somewhere, where we could also go in and vote for a solution so you have our voices to back you up in the negotiations. I strongly believe Logitech has MUCH more power to put in to a possible solution/agreement then each one of us alone. At least tell us what we should say to Spotify that would benefit the probability of a solution the most, and how to adress it in the best way(!). As Cottingham wrote we all pay £10 monthly to spotify for their services and should demand a solution, but all logitech devices affected by this also sum up to quite a few bucks so I think the demand for a solution falls equally on Logitech, and that they should rather represent us in the matter (as, in the end, the possible solution for getting this to work also on older squeezebox devices most likely is to be found in the agreement written between Logitech and Spotify)... BR Bloodfaya PS. Regarding the vote for an "official SqueezeServer plugin" I don't really see the difference to the existing, well working, Triode 3rd party plug-in? (I'm sure Triodes support in his thread is MUCH faster than official Logitech support, I doubt it will be better functioning.) Can anyone clarify the benefits to me? However, I do vote YES for an official local server plugin, for you who see a benefit and have the need for it so....here's another vote.
