no, as of about a week ago it works for xmradio subscribers too. You must enter your XM internet streaming Userid and PW, not the one for your XM account in general. I had the same for both, but I had to change the id and pw for my streaming account to make it work with the app. Needs to be less than 20 characters too. Once I made this change, the app allowed me to log in just fine.
