in the past I had some similar issues. Been a couple years, but I recall rebooting my router and/or stopping and restarting SbS solved the issue for me. I think it did have to do with some DNS issues.... (SbS trying to talk to mysb.com before the computer had actually made a good internet connection). So even though later, other things on the computer worked just fine, SbS acted as if it had not made the connection.
