I wanted to give SiriusXM a try on my Squeezebox system so I went to MySqueezebox.com and add the app to My Apps.
The first thing I did was try to start the offered 30 day trial. I hit the "Start Free Train" button get the trial started and what comes back is an error saying "500 Can't connect to sirius1.service.zing.net:443 (Bad hostname 'sirius1.service.zing.net')" OK, I figured someone at Logitech didn't renew their agreement with SiriusXM to offer 30 day trials but forgot to remove the offer in the app. So I go direct to SiriusXM and sign up for their 7 day trial (the only trial term they offer). After a short delay I receive an email with my trial logon name and password. So I try to log on at the SiriusXM site to listen to something just to make sure everything is OK and sure enough music is coming from my computer when logged directly onto the SiriusXM site. So I come back to the MySqueezebox.com site and try to configure my logon info into the SiriusXM App in the "Already have a SiriusXM Internet Radio account?" area of the app. After a brief period of spinning dots on the page it comes back with "500 Can't connect to sirius1.service.zing.net:443 (Bad hostname 'sirius1.service.zing.net')". Again it can't find the host, just like when I tried to enable the 30 day trial. So, it appears to me Squeezeboxes and MySqueezebox.com don't actually offer us SiriusXM Radio as I thought. I'm in Chicago so it can't be an outside the USA issue. Does anyone else actually get SiriusXM on their Squeezeboxes via MySqueezebox.com or some other means? -- PRGeno ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PRGeno's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=718 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93806 _______________________________________________ squeezenetwork mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezenetwork
