the cd redbook says 44100 kHz Sample rate by 16 Bit and 2 Channels leads to 1.411 MBits/s for FLAC-Streaming right ?
FLAC is compressed - 800kbps should be good enough. But that's just the theoretical value.
what could be the possible cause from your perspective ? any ideas ? COS
Between you and the servers where the files come from can be several hops, each of which could potentially cause problems. Eg. if there was a congestion in another network you have to use to reach the end point.
