First I contacted the original owner and he emailed back and said he had now de-registered. After a couple of days nothing had changed my end.
I did that because I was having difficulty raising the support ticket from my MSB webpages, and finding the right UK telephone number was just as difficult. In the end I created a new Logitech account and files a support ticket that way. I got an anwer after the weekend and the proble is now resolved. My Squeezebox is now correctly registered and my original MSB account is working. I have returned my thanks and expressed my disappointment that Squeezebox is discontinued.
