I have one question: what is the actual reason that spotify connect is not implemented?
SB is a dead product development wise. We try to keep it alive as well as possible, but won't do new features (unless they're cheap/free part of some maintenance work). It's a one man show nowadays, where we had a dozen and more engineers previously. And it's not even the main task of this one person. Trust me, I know the situation :-).
Spotify Connect would be a totally different implementation, which would conceptually have to live in its own world, apart from LMS.
