Have you noticed my edit which says that software tells different mac address than one on the label? Does it make any difference?
No, I didn't see your edit (I'm following on the mailing list, not the web based forum).
And yes, that would be the problem. You can press and hold LEFT on the remote to get to the device's firmware menu. From there find the Settings item, scroll down to the MAC address. Press RIGHT to edit it and set it to what is on the sticker.
