Martin, I have two more suggestions

1) unplug and disconnect everything in the approved manner for each
item.
completely reset the router, check for any firmware updates on the
router and if applicable apply them and then reset the router again.
this should give you a clean router.
connect the Receiver to the router and try to connect with MSB.com.
if this works, then connect the NAS to the router.
See how you go  :)

2) take the Receiver to another location (family or friend) where you
can connect it to MSB.com and see what happens.
