You entered your spotify credential in the "spotify protocol handler"? If so, my next step would be to turn everything off (NAS and sb player), reboot NAS, let LMS start, then turn on (plug in) player. If that doesn't fix it, I'd check the logs. Sometimes people have trouble with the spotify helper app getting through firewalls or A-V software.
