Sigh. I had to implement caching at work a few years back to stop us overloading zendesk's APIs and suffering badly. I'm a Java architect by trade so I was looking at ehcache and redis. there's always memcached to play with. Not sure if any are useful here, all depends on the calls. Happy to chat it through somewhere if you want an opinion
