Only LMS8 can transcode Tidal AAC streams to FLAC or MP3. Recent Squeezelite versions have native support for AAC, and 'in my experience' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112306-AAC-in-M4A-container-can-it-be-transcoded-from-remote-source-(http)&p=987555&viewfull=1#post987555) do not require LMS8 for playback of Tidal AAC.
