So LMS is working again on 2 of the three machines.  One with 7.7.6 and
the other 8.1.1 What I changed on the PC running 8.1.1 was related to
password.  Apparently, my password vault kept inserting the wrong
password in Settings.  Once I changed the password in the vault, My Apps
came right back to where it should be.  I tried applying the same fix to
the PC you have been helping me with, but I still get the "...refused to
connect"  message
