Francly I do not think anyone who compiles the Squid winbind helpers today can (or want to) actually use the Samba headers shipped with Squid as the Samba-2.2.[45] versions they refer to is obsoleted by newer stable Samba-2.2 releaes. Only way to make it work is to either use a Samba version older than the one the Samba team advertises as "the" Samba version everyone should be running, or manually replacing the Samba headers within Squid.. The headers only works with Samba-2.2.4 and 2.2.5 (June 2002), but not with 2.2.6 (Oct 2002) or 2.2.7 (Nov 2002, security update) or 2.2.7a (Dec 2002) and almost certainly won't work with 2.2.8 either when released..
