Can you see if MS have anything to say on this? I've just taken the time to dig up the C++ standard on delete, and my deleteSelf idiom is unneeded - BUT, I don't know how many compilers are standards compliant in this respect... So, I'll put a little test program together, and we can see what occurs, on gcc 2.95+, gcc3.3, MSVC etc. The OS2 port (and any other pre-egcs only gcc environments) may need special testing too.
