I spent half a day trying to figure out why Squid-3-cvs was core dumping in the debugs() macro. Alex suggested that GCC 2.x may have bugs in its support for stringstream. With GCC 3.3 it no longer dumps core at that spot.
Give this, shouldn't we be checking the GCC version in ./configure?
