   if I'm reading this correctly I think I've found a possible source of
confusion for the users in their wccp configuration.

I haven't checked the code to see if its present. But I think squid should
be able to accept the names as shown by cisco and translate to the proper
numerics internally.

For example:
   wccp2_forwarding_method L2
   wccp2_return_method     GRE
   wccp2_assignment_method HASH
