I have a very limited programming knowledge so would appreciate some
help here.
I am wanting to alter squid so that instead of querying local databases
it queries a script which draws the information from a centralised server.
The reason for this is we have a couple of hundred sites that use our
squid servers as a proxy to filter web content, in a hope to reduce
traffic loads on our server we have proposed giving schools and
businesses their own servers (on their premises) doing the same job but
we don't want to distribute our database as it has taken several years
to develop and it is one of the ways we make money
