Dear Squid Developers,
I decided to use SNMP instead of cachemgr for polling squid stats.
However, there seems to be no useful graphing templates for squid anywhere. I
am looking especially for Cacti templates.
The links on SNMP wiki page is left from 19th century. None of them works.
Even the example there redirects to a page that polls cachemgr output instead
of SNMP (not to mention eye disturbing graphs from 8-bit color monitor times).
The link in cacti forums have 3 templates that do not work without
modifications to OIDs. They also output 3 useless values among the 500 squid
prints.
Searching the net surprisingly returns nothing useful.
Can someone who knows squid SNMP output devise some meaningful templates for us
to be used in rrdtool or Cacti? I think it is such a waste to have all this
info available yet nothing to use it from.
