I am having problem with squid2.1-PATCH2 running as transparent proxy and offline browsers. When offline browser is used squid ties up many many file descriptors and stops working and reaches 1024 file descriptors very quickly. Is there a way to detect this and maybe stop accepting the connection for such a user. I would appreciate any other ideas if there are any other ways to solve this. Thanks Irfan Akber
