I start to think about only some access list(s) to go over the redirector and all
the others do not.

can we do something like that? did you guys think about this situation??

well we are using squid 2.1 with a redirector I think squid is designed so that all
the requests go over the redirector?(we use
squirm, if you need to know). is it right?

but I think that in the near future our redirector processes (we can set to maximum
32 in squid2.1) will not be enough as last
night 25 of them was not enough for squid and it gave WARNINGS.!! and of course all
requests going over a proxy is a PERFORMANCE
problem.

our redirector only redirects requests from 10.10.x.x to some web server as they are
special accounts. so I start to think about
some access list for 10.10.x.x only to go over the redirector and all the others do
not.

can we do something like that? I think squid needs something like this.

thanks,

Utku.
