That will depend on whether the individual items are cacheable.  Many 
sites, for misguided commercial reasons, and through ignorance, 
generate uncacheable pages.  In fact, it is almost an FAQ on the IIS 
newsgroups as how to defeat caching!

HTML is more likely to have caching defeated than are images.
