There are, IIRC instructions for removal sent with the subscription
confirmation. If people can't keep the first e-mail they get back, then
it's their own fault. This is the case with a few lists I am on, and I
archive the acceptance mails, with the unsubscribe instructions. 

I even think that the mail says "Keep Me for future reference" or
somesuch.
