I vote we stop saying stupid things on this list. I find that it can be a
very useful item, and using the password protection, quite safe. You don't
seriously use squid on a machine with user shells on? nor allow access to
the configuration file via cachemgr?. Your opinion is one, mine is
another. Whilst people still use the function, it will stay.
