You may experience a unknown memory leak them. Any obvious anomalities
in the cachemgr outputs?
I hope you know that 2.2.DEVEL3 is a development version and is known
not to be very stable. Problem reports on any PRE or DEVEL versions
should be sent to squid-bugs and NOT squid-users. DEVEL versions are not
intended for production use. The intended use of DEVEL releases are as a
early access for testing upcoming features in the next release.
