OK I have read the FAQ section 11
I have done so far:
Boosted limits.h to 4096
Increased /proc/sys....max-file to 4096
Clean installed squid-2.1.RELEASE
I ran configure and it refuses to let me go higher then 256 (which is a
problem at the moment)
So feeling rather clever i changed the defaults in configure.in and
configure to 4096 and it _still_ wouldnt let me go higher then 256.
Exactly where does the script check to see the available file descriptors?
Any suggestions would be vastly appreciated.
I am running kernel 2.0.36 and redhat 5.1
