Hi. I'm trying to use squid to set up a local proxy within my company's
intranet, and connecting to the firewall proxy. I frequently receive the
following types of errors, to various external sites:
1999/04/22 16:43:46| Failed to select source for 'http://espn.com/'
1999/04/22 16:43:46| always_direct = -1
1999/04/22 16:43:46| never_direct = 1
1999/04/22 16:43:46| timedout = 1
If I wait several seconds, and retry, the connection goes through. The error
above is displayed nearly instantly when it occurs, but the times the
connection goes through, it may take the firewall several seconds (up to 30) to
return the object.
Do I have a timeout value set wrong? Can I set something so that retries
happen in that situation?
