Hi,
I am having issues configuring Squid using a proxy to resolve host names
specified in a host file. While using the proxy I can navigate to other
website domains successfully, however when I try to use a name specified in
my hosts file then I receive this page in my browser:
I have configured the host file on my machine to resolve the IP address:
In the Squid configuration folder I've added the following line:
It seems what I've added to my hosts file is being ignored by the Squid
proxy server. I have ensured the path is correct and I restart my Squid
each time I make edits to any configuration files yet the error persists. I'm
wondering if there is something I am missing in the configuration or
elsewhere. I've attached my entire Squid configuration file for further
reference. I am running Squid version 3.5.28 on Windows
