We are having problems with Authenticating user-id's & passwords with smb_auth
This is the setup we are running: Network server is REDHAT Linux, Samba 2.4 with PC's running MS Windows. Internet Proxy server is running SuSe Linux 7.4 with Squidalyser started. We have put the "Proxyauth" file into the home directory on the REDHAT Server and all PC's request Username and Password authentication. But when entered it keeps coming back asking for the Password again and will not allow access. Have tested #smb_auth -W ipaddr -d and it finds the Domain etc back returns ERR on username and Password. Any suggestions on what we are doing wrong a a fix to this problem would be useful.
