The Squid winbind helper sources in the Squid-2.5 snapshots have been updated for use with Samba-2.2.7a, the current recommended Samba version by the Samba team. The sources as shipped should work with Samba version 2.2.6 or later.
To compile the current Squid-2.5 snapshot sources with winbind from Samba-2.2.5 or earlier you need to use the new --with-samba-sources=... configure option to specify the location of the sources of the specific Samba version you are using. This change is documented in the ChangeLog and in the release notes, but I see now that I forgot to mention that the configure option is required to build the helpers with Samba 2.2.5 or earlier.. fixing..
