We run a small office network behind Smoothwall "bullet". The Smoothwall box functions as a Gateway and uses squid as a cache/proxy in transparent mode. The system works very well but it has recently come to our attention that our client machines cannot access two particular sites, www.leap.com.au and www.ezisearch.com.au. The browsers simply time out with no response. Disabling the proxy restores access to the sites concerned.
I think this is not regarding squid. I can access both sites as well with squid. But what do you get in your access.log? Also once try to use in debug mode squid to see what happen. May be it helps.
