Then I would suggest looking into why your groups are presented with an
invalid DN in LDAP. Possibly there is something wrongly configured in
your names.nsf database.

See the ttl settings of external_acl_type. There is two settings, one
for positive lookups (user is member) and another for negative lookups
(user is not member). The default is 1 hour I think.
