Help! I have spent the last several days working on this problem, and haven't gotten very far. The box has been in production for quite some time now and has just recently started experiencing problems. It is 2.4.STABLE1 running on Redhat 7.2. I am running redirectors, so my first instinct was to look to them. After a few days debugging code I did find some instances where my redirectors were dying and patched them up. Now my redirector seems fairly stable. It has repeatedly run for 1.5 million or more requests between occurrences of the problem I am experiencing now. Squid seems to be exiting and shutting down my redirectors (I have debugged to ensure they are being exited by Squid and not crashing), but nothing seems to be popping out at me from the logs. Here are the logs from the most recent failure...timestamp 10:12:05. It seems from the cache log that it tried several times to restart itself, then finally died. I then restarted it manually a few minutes later and now it seems stable again having processed over 150K requests without restarting itself or dying. I just noticed when looking through my logs that my MAX memory size is pretty low...only 20MB..could that be part of the problem? Any light that anybody could shed on the problem would be greatly appreciated.
