Hi Alex:

| I have a FreeBSD box, running Squid 2.5 STABLE 3.
| I installed NetSNMP, and compiled squid with SNMP suport.
|
| I configure squid.conf to accept SNMP calls, but when I try to
snmpwalk,
| I get:
| Jun 18 15:29:53 cache_server squid[451]: Failed SNMP agent query
from :
| 127.0.0.1.
| I also tried the name of the server.
|
| When it starts, it says:
| Jun 18 15:30:03 cache_server squid[451]: Accepting SNMP messages on port
| 3401, FD 44.
|
| No netstat port 3401 found....
| Whats happening ????

Did you configure squid.conf with SNMP ACL's?? Something like:

acl localhost src 127.0.0.1/255.0.0.0
acl public snmp_community public
snmp_access allow public localhost

Show us your squid.conf!

regards
