I've setup a SQUID proxy it works well for web browsing. When I try to use it as a proxy for Lotus Notes it acts strangely. When I go to the user-preferences and do a TCP Trace in Lotus Notes, it connects to he remote site. When I try to do a database-->open-->other-->databasename it thinks about it, and comes back with a connection error. The access.log looks like this:
1061584847.035 700 a.b.c.d TCP_MISS/200 153 CONNECT hqnotes.share.org:1352 - DIRECT/192.111.120.10 - 1061584847.654 609 a.b.c.d TCP_MISS/200 665 CONNECT hqnotes.share.org:1352 - DIRECT/192.111.120.10 - 1061584974.160 120091 a.b.c.d TCP_MISS/000 0 CONNECT 192.111.210.10:1352 - NONE/- - Then an error pops up on the Lotus Notes client. What really confuses me is that the trace/login works, but the open doesn't. Any ideas? Thanks, Brian Peterson If it's there and you can see it - it's REAL If it's there and you can't see it - it's TRANSPARENT If it's not there and you can see it - it's VIRTUAL If it's not there and you can't see it - it's GONE
