Do you think this is causing Squid to restart?
I will have about 200 people under this Proxy. Today I'm testing it with only about 20 people. What do you think would be a good number of children process?
This depends on how many concurrent connections and how clients are connecting to your system.
First try to increase it to 10 or something, and check the results. (also depends on your hardware)
Also use the squidmgr about the authenticator statistics.
