Most times you can simply drop their backported fixes when you upgrade the source version.. Also, if you are using a Squid 2.5 based SRPM then there should only be official patches + RH integration patches in the SRPM, no backported patches. The RH integration patches is mostly because RH does not entirely agree with certain default configuration settings, file locations etc. Regards Henrik
