One way is to create a proxy.pac file with rules that specify where and when a proxy should be used. If you name it "wpad.dat" and place it on an web server called "wpad" in your client's domain or superdomains, then IE's automatic proxy detection will work. Of course, I've simplified it a lot and there are other variations that include the use of DHCP and so on. Best to check out proxy.pac files at: http://wp.netscape.com/eng/mozilla/2.0/relnotes/demo/proxy-live.html And the WPAD spec at: http://www.wrec.org/Drafts/draft-cooper-webi-wpad-00.txt Cheers Gerard
