Our university is currently running a PIII 866Mhz server with 1Gb RAM and 2x 20Gb and 1 x 70Gb scsi drives. It serves about 4000 clients (max client connections at any one time will not exceed 2000). Running squid 2.4.stable6

We plan to install the latest version of Squid on this box and I need some guidance as to what flavour of Linux to install.
Can anyone throw some suggestions?
