I am running squid-2.5.STABLE5. I am using squid with NTLM authentication and using ntlm_auth to authenticate users, with an NT4 server. The user names that we use are for example "domain01-nt\charlie grosvenor". Squid is configured exactly the same as another machine that is running squid version 2.5.STABLE4, both machines seem to authenticate users ok but on the machine running 2.5.STABLE4 the usernames that appear in the access.log only contain the first part "domain01-nt":
"1087983387.460 2565 192.168.1.92 TCP_MISS/200 2771 CONNECT login.passport.com:443 domain01-nt DIRECT/65.54.179.198 -" On the other machine running squid version 2.5.STABLE4 the usernames are showed correctly as in "domain01-nt\charlie grosvenor": "1088022299.908 334 192.168.1.206 TCP_MISS/200 1904 GET http://www.amazon.com domain01-nt\charlie%20grosvenor DIRECT/213.61.5.8 image/jpeg" I assume as squid on both machines is compiled with the same options and the configuration files are identical this is some sort of bug in squid-2.5.STABLE5. Can anybody confirm / give any other suggestions as to what might be causing this? ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
